517-507-9993 x 303
Dale Huber was born and raised in Clare County, Michigan, where he contributed to caring for the family farm, learning the value of hard work. After graduating from Harrison High School, Dale moved to Saginaw to attend college, but found success as an assistant manager at Discount Tire Company, where he spent the next several years.
After meeting his wife, Sara, he decided to change course and get his real estate license in 2004, just months before the wedding date. He quit his job as manager at Discount Tire two weeks before their wedding in July 2004, and started his career as a Realtor the day he and Sara returned from their honeymoon. He founded DS Huber Properties & Development, LLC, in 2008, after spending four years working for local brokerages Century 21 Home Towne, Briarwood Realty, and Gateway to Homes Realty, where he got his first property management referral in 2008.
Since then, the business has grown and changed, including a business name change in 2017. Dale lives in Eaton Rapids with his wife Sara, three beautiful children, a dog, and several bunnies. The Hubers enjoy traveling by RV in their spare time.
Sara Huber is an Owner at DS Huber Real Estate Group, where her role has grown alongside the company itself. A native of East Lansing, Sara is an alumna of both Michigan State University and the University of Georgia. After graduating from UGA, she began her teaching career in Marietta, Georgia, but quickly realized Michigan still felt like home. She returned in 2000 and spent the next 11 years teaching Latin in Lansing, until 2011, when she transitioned from the classroom to the business full-time.
What began as a small supporting role has grown to include ownership, business development, accounting, team member training, and strategic support across the organization. Sara brings an educator’s mindset to the business, with a focus on clear communication, thoughtful systems, and helping people understand not just what to do, but why it matters.
Outside of work, Sara enjoys a busy and full life rooted in home, travel, and a little bit of adventure. In 2019, she and her family took an epic six-week cross-country journey by fifth wheel, which only deepened her love of traveling and camping. More recently, she has discovered a passion for canning and preserving, especially experimenting with unique jam flavors; woodworking and wood collecting, and plant keeping, with a special place in her heart for her giant Monstera, Sully.
Sara now lives with her family in Eaton Rapids, amongst the family's menagerie of honeybees, goats, dogs, ducks, turkeys, guinea fowl, chickens, tortoises, snakes, and cats.
Amanda “Mandi” Fortin is an Owner and Integrator at DS Huber Real Estate Group, where she helps connect the company’s vision with day-to-day execution. With a strong background in finance, reporting, analysis, and process improvement, Mandi brings a steady, strategic approach to leadership and operations. She is known for organizing complex information, strengthening systems, and helping teams move forward with clarity and accountability.
Before joining DS Huber, Mandi built a well-rounded finance career across industries including mining, wireless, marketing services, manufacturing, and network technology. Her experience includes financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cost analysis, business case modeling, strategic planning support, and cross-functional project leadership. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Judson University.
Originally from the Chicago area, Mandi now brings her thoughtful, practical, and people-centered approach to the DS Huber team. Outside of work, she loves her two cats and enjoys the balance of a life rooted in both strong relationships and steady purpose. Whether she is supporting the team, solving operational challenges, or helping move the company forward, Mandi brings reliability, insight, and care to everything she does.

She then became a stay at home mom for five amazing years.
In January 2022, was given a wonderful job opportunity to work mostly from home with DS Huber. She enjoys working with great people, very patient with all the questions and just being able to learn something new and out of her comfort zone.
